USES
Multi Safe Rust Remover is used for removing rust from corroded steel surfaces and preventing further corrosion. It is suitable for heavily rusted reinforcements during the repair of distressed RCC structures and for protecting reinforcements with inadequate concrete cover or thin sections. The product is also used for cleaning new and old steel reinforcement, structural steel sections, water tanks, pipelines, steel superstructures, shuttering plates, and other weather-affected steel surfaces. Additionally, it helps remove old set concrete from transit mixers and cement mortar residues from tiles and marble surfaces.
ADVANTAGES
The product is easy to apply by brush or spray and is a single-component, ready-to-use formulation. It effectively removes rust from severely affected steel reinforcement and forms a protective layer to prevent further corrosion. Being chloride-free, it does not promote corrosion and is cost-effective due to its high coverage rate.
APPLICATION
Before application, steel surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned by wire brushing, chipping, or grinding to remove loose rust scale. Apply Multi Safe Rust Remover uniformly using a brush or cotton waste on the cleaned, dry surface. Allow it to react for 15–30 minutes until the rusted surface turns blackish. Remove loose particles by scrubbing, then water-jet the surface to eliminate acidic residues and wipe clean.
PROPERTIES & COVERAGE
Multi Safe Rust Remover is a transparent, acidic liquid with a specific gravity of 1.19 ± 0.02 at 27°C. Coverage ranges from 35–65 sq. ft. per litre in two coats, depending on corrosion level.
PACKING, STORAGE & SAFETY
Available in 100 ml, 450 ml, 1 kg, 5 kg, and 20 kg packs. Shelf life is 12 months in unopened containers. Avoid ingestion; wash skin or eyes with water if contact occurs.
